Description

Subsea repairs and inspection are costly for petroleum and pipeline engineers and proper training is needed to focus on ensuring system strength and integrity. Subsea Pipeline Integrity and Risk Management is the perfect companion for new engineers who need to be aware of the state-of-the-art techniques. This handbook offers a "hands-on" problem-solving approach to integrity management, leak detection, and reliability applications such as risk analysis.
Wide-ranging and easy-to-use, the book is packed with data tables, illustrations, and calculations, with a focus on pipeline corrosion, flexible pipes, and subsea repair. Reliability-based models also provide a decision making tool for day-to-day use. Subsea Pipeline Integrity and Risk Management gives the engineer the power and knowledge to protect offshore pipeline investments safely and effectively.

Key Features

In a many-faceted field such as Geochemistry, explaining and understanding how one sub-field relates to another is key. Instructors will find the complete overviews with extensive cross-referencing useful additions to their course packs and students will benefit from the contextual organization of the subject matter.Six new volumes added and 66% updated from 1st edition. The Editors of this work have taken every measure to include the many suggestions received from readers and ensure comprehensiveness of coverage and added value in this 2nd edition. The esteemed Board of Volume Editors and Editors-in-Chief worked cohesively to ensure a uniform and consistent approach to the content, which is an amazing accomplishment for a 15-volume work (16 volumes including index volume)!

Description

This extensively updated new edition of the widely acclaimed Treatise on Geochemistry has increased its coverage beyond the wide range of geochemical subject areas in the first edition, with five new volumes which include: the history of the atmosphere, geochemistry of mineral deposits, archaeology and anthropology, organic geochemistry and analytical geochemistry. In addition, the original Volume 1 on "Meteorites, Comets, and Planets" was expanded into two separate volumes dealing with meteorites and planets, respectively. These additions increased the number of volumes in the Treatise from 9 to 15 with the index/appendices volume remaining as the last volume (Volume 16). Each of the original volumes was scrutinized by the appropriate volume editors, with respect to necessary revisions as well as additions and deletions. As a result, 27% were republished without major changes, 66% were revised and 126 new chapters were added.

Readership

A must have for researchers, teachers and (graduate) students of Geochemistry, in particular, and the Geosciences in general. It is also highly recommended for professionals working in contamination clean-up, resource managers, and environmental regulators, among others.

CEMA Belt Conveyors for Bulk Materials, 7th Edition, Published Date: April 2014, (with Metric Conversion) / Print Format

CEMA Belt Conveyors for Bulk Materials, 7th Edition, Published Date: April 2014, (with Metric Conversion) / Print Format

Detalhes

For the past two years work has progressed on the “7th Edition Belt Conveyors for Bulk Materials” which is being led by
R. Todd Swinderman along with assistance by The Engineering Conference and many other individuals who have contributed their time, effort and resources to the planning and compilation of this book.

CEMA's first edition was originally published in 1966 with 331 pages.  This newly released 7th edition has over 837 pages, includes basic data, fundamentals of design, belt conveyor capacities, belt selections, general applications, Ki and Ai factors and most important of all, Metric Conversion throughout the book.

This update incorporates 229 more pages to accommodate the new additions and changes in format that include the imperial and metric units in the text, figures and tables.  All line art graphics have been redrawn to include metric where required and all equations are now numbered throughout the 7th ed.

This fully updated 7th edition belt book, is a must have source book for technicians and engineers associated with design, manufacture, or service of bulk conveyors or components.

* 100 more pages, to accommodate new additions and a change in format that will have imperial and metric units in the text, figures and tables.

* Errata and general comments accumulated during the life of the 6th edition have been incorporated into the 7th edition text.

* Line art graphics are being redrawn for consistency, ease of reading and to incorporate metric where required.

* In the 6th edition many equations were not numbered and when they were they were called “figures”.  In the 7th edition all equations are numbered and the title “Equation” is used.

* Many more calculated examples.
