Lighting Identification Code 

A lighting identification code is a series of standardized marking for lighting devices wich a manufacturer or a supplier may use to mark his product to indicate the SAE Lighting Specification or Specifications to which the device is designed. The code is not intended to limit the manufacturer or supplier in applying other markings to the devices.

Note: SAE does not approve products, hence, the use de markings in accordance with this code should not be interpreted to mean that a device so marked has SAE approval.

Most of the lamps you purchase today will have lettering on them that doesn’t seem to make any sense. This lettering is the "SAE" identification code. The Society of Automotive Engineers has been committed to improving the effectiveness and safety of your vehicles lighting. They have developed a uniform identification code that is being used by all reputable manufacturers. The code can be found in SAE J759 JUN2001 – Lighting Identification Code.

Here is an example of a code you may see on a light.

SAE = Indicates lamp has been designed to SAE specifications as indicated by the following letter codes. The Letters Indicating Device Functions

A = Reflex Reflector, I = Turn signal, S = Stop Lamp, T = Tail lamp. 75 = the year lamp was certified.

DOT Indicates lamp has been tested and conforms to DOT Required Specifications, but does not indicate that the Department of Transportation or NHTSA has approved the lamp.

SAE Recommended Practice provides the lighting identification codes for use on all passenger cars and trucks.

About the European Pharmacopoeia

The texts of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) concern the qualitative and quantitative composition of medicines, the tests to be carried out on medicines, on the raw materials used in the production of medicines and on the intermediates of synthesis. It contains texts covering substances, excipients and preparations for pharmaceutical use of chemical, animal, human or herbal origin, homoeopathic preparations and homoeopathic stocks, antibiotics, as well as dosage forms and containers. The texts also cover biologicals, blood and plasma derivatives, vaccines and radiopharmaceutical preparations. They are legally binding. Versions and Subscriptions
The Ph. Eur. is supplied in a variety of formats designed to be flexible to suit the needs of your organisation. It is available in 3 formats - print, online and USB stick.

Book Version: The subscription to the two initial volumes (Vol. 1 and 2) and two supplements (Supplement 7.1 and 7.2) is now available to order. Plus access to the archives is also possible.

Online Version: The online subscriptions provide access to all updates posted and to the archives starting from 1969 (1st Edition). Subscribers have access up to Supplement 7.2 from July 2010 until 31 December 2011.

USB Version: The new USB stick version makes it easy to access the Ph. Eur. while on the move or in environments where the use of the print or online versions would be inappropriate or impractical. Saúde e Sociedade destina-se a publicação de trabalhos científicos originais nas diferentes áreas do saber, sobre práticas de saúde, visando ao desenvolvimento interdisciplinar do campo da saúde pública.

Destina-se à comunidade de profissionais do campo da saúde, docentes, pesquisadores, especialistas da área de Saúde Pública/Coletiva e de áreas afins. Desde sua criação, tem publicado trabalhos de diferentes áreas do saber que se relacionam ou tenham como objeto de preocupação a saúde pública/coletiva. Nesse sentido, abarca a produção de diferentes ramos das ciências humanas e sociais e da emergente ciência ambiental, incorporando a produção científica, teórica e aquela mais especificamente relacionada às propostas de intervenção e prática institucional.

Dada a natureza de seu objeto, a Saúde Pública se caracteriza como um campo privilegiado de conhecimento e de prática aberto à contribuição de diferentes áreas. A produção científica nela gerada reflete essa possibilidade quando contempla as distintas dimensões de seu objeto e também sua complexa amplitude, abarcando desde o conhecimento do processo saúde doença às intervenções sobre esse processo, mediante ações, programas, sistemas e políticas de saúde. Considerados esses aspectos e verificadas as semelhanças de proposição e de estratégias de interação editorial, há 16 anos, a direção da Faculdade de Saúde Pública da USP (FSP) e da Associação Paulista de Saúde Pública (APSP) decidiram estabelecer parceria para a consecução de um projeto editorial. Foi nesse contexto que se formulou o projeto editorial da Saúde e Sociedade, hoje uma revista consolidada nas áreas de Saúde Pública/ Coletiva e de Ciências Humanas.

A edição conjunta de uma publicação (FSP-APSP) constituiu-se e se mantém como uma ação inovadora no campo editorial da área de saúde. A articulação entre essas duas instituições representou uma nova estratégia na busca de incrementos para divulgação da produção técnico-científica da área, bem como proporcionou condições para aumento do intercâmbio de conhecimentos entre as instituições de ensino, de pesquisa e de prestação de serviços de saúde.

Não se tratou, assim, de atender à demanda somente do campo científico das diversas instituições de ensino e pesquisa de São Paulo, mas de, igualmente, abrir-se a uma tendência no interior da sociedade brasileira e latino-americana de busca de novos caminhos, novas reflexões, novas abordagens no tratamento de novos e velhos problemas.

Periodicidade da revista: Quadrimestral, passando a trimestral em 2009.

Saúde e Sociedade to publish original contributions of different knowledge areas regarding health practices, aiming at the interdisciplinary development of the public health field.

It is targeted at the community of health professionals, professors, researchers, Public/Collective Health specialists and connected areas. Since its creation, the journal has published works from different knowledge areas that are interrelated or that are concerned about public/collective health. In this sense, it encompasses the production of different branches of the human and social sciences and of the emerging environmental science, incorporating scientific and theoretical production and also the one that is specifically related to proposals for intervention and institutional practice.

Given the nature of its object, Public Health is characterized as a privileged field of knowledge and practice that is open to contribution from different areas. The scientific production generated within it reflects this possibility when it takes into account the distinct dimensions of its object and also its complex amplitude, approaching themes that range from knowledge of the health-illness process to interventions on this process by means of health actions, programs, systems and policies. Considering these aspects and taking into account the similarities regarding proposition and editorial interaction strategies, 16 years ago, the direction of the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo (FSP - USP) and of São Paulo´s Public Health Association (APSP) decided to establish a partnership to carry out an editorial project. It was in this context that the editorial project of the journal Saúde e Sociedade was formulated. Today, it is a consolidated journal in the areas of Public/Collective Health and Human Sciences.

The joint publication of a journal (FSP-APSP) has been an innovative action in the publishing field of the health area. The articulation between these two institutions represented a new strategy in the search for increments to disseminate the technical and scientific production of the area. In addition, it enhanced the knowledge exchange between institutions related to teaching, research and health services provision.

Thus, the focus was not only the need to meet the demand of the scientific field of the several teaching and research institutions of São Paulo, but also, the need to welcome a tendency that has emerged inside the Brazilian and Latin American society and that concerns the search for new ways, new reflections, new approaches to dealing with new and old problems.

Journal´s periodicity: it is published three times per year. In 2009, it will become a quarterly journal.

The UERJ Nursing Journal is a regular publication every 3 months, created in 1993; and its aim is to publish original writings on the biomedical research by Brazilian, Latin American authors as well as by those from other countries, who contribute to the development of the Health and Nursing Sciences. Their articles approach themes such as the effectiveness of diagnosis or therapeutic techniques and health care, epidemiologic, behavioristic and educational aspects related to health and illness. The 2012 Version of the Manual for Railway Engineering will be available in April 2012.

The Manual for Railway Engineering (MRE) is an annual publication released every April. The Manual consists of more than 4000 pages of railway engineering reference material, the recommended practices for the industry. It contains principles, data, specifications, plans and economics pertaining to the engineering, design and construction of the fixed plant of railways (except signals and communications), and allied services and facilities. The material is developed by AREMA technical committees and is published as a guide to railways in establishing their individual policies and practices relative to the subjects, activities and facilities covered in the Manual, with the aim of assisting them to engineer and construct a railway plant which will have inherent qualities of safe and economical operation as well as low maintenance cost. ITU Space Network Systems Online Annual Subscription 2012 - Sistema de Redes Espaciais (SNS) - International Telecommunication Union

Free of charge to TIES Users as from 1st May 2000. In addition to a brief overview of the Radio Regulations referring to space services and general information containing statistics, a database diagram, tables and the AP4 notice forms, the Space Network Systems Online Service allows the user to navigate freely through the database, making predefined special queries to retrieve data based on specified input parameters and to access reference tables and descriptions of the data used in the system, which is updated bi-weekly. This service is an essential reference tool for government agencies, public and private telecommunication operating agencies, manufacturers, scientific/industrial entities, international organizations, consultants, technical colleges, universities, etc.

Space Network Systems Online Service is an annual subscription service that provides online access to the Space Network System database of the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau. This database contains notices concerning space radiocommunication services submitted to the Bureau for:

• Appendix 4 (AP4/II and AP4/III) notification of satellite networks and Earth stations

• Appendix 4 (AP4/IV) notification of assignments to radioastronomy stations

• Appendix 4 (AP4/V and AP4/VI) notification of advance publication of planned satellite networks:

– AP4/VI GSO or non-GSO satellite system subject to coordination under Section II of Article 9

– AP4/V GSO or non-GSO satellite system not subject to coordination under Section II of Article 9

• Broadcasting-satellite service (BSS) networks: Appendices 30 (WRC-2000) and 30A (WRC‑2000)

• Fixed-satellite service (FSS) networks: Appendix 30B (WRC-2007)

• Due diligence information: Resolution 49 (Rev.WRC-2000)

This online service is available online at www.itu.int/publ/R-SOFT-SNS/en. In addition to a brief overview of the ITU Radio Regulations pertaining to space services and general information containing statistics, a database diagram, tables and the APS4 notice forms, a powerful database query system allows the user to navigate through the Space Network Systems. Predefined special queries may be used to retrieve data based on specified input parameters. A reference data query system gives access to reference tables and descriptions of data used in the system.

Space Network Systems Online Service is an essential reference for government agencies, public and private telecommunication operating agencies, manufacturers, scientific/industrial entities, international organizations, consultants, technical colleges, universities, etc.

1. Introduction
The Radiocommunication Bureau’s Space Network System service, named Space Network Systems Online, is a subscription service.

2. Format and structure

The interface to the Space Network Systems database is organized in the following way:

Overview of the Radio Regulations:

• terms;
• procedures;
• revisions.

General Information about Space Network Database:
• scope and volume of data – statistics on APS4 notices by categories;
• statistics on APS4 notices by years and administrations;
• structure of the database;
• database tables and the notice forms.

Data Base Query System:
• list of all geostationary, non-geostationary or Earth stations;
• list of specific geostationary, non-geostationary or Earth stations;
• specific geostationary, non-geostationary or Earth stations;
• all frequency assignments notified to a geostationary, non-geostationary or Earth station;
• all emission information of a geostationary, non-geostationary or Earth station;
• all coordination information of a geostationary, non-geostationary or Earth station.

Special Queries:
• frequency slots: distribution of frequencies in a range (band) used for space services;
• list of satellites using frequencies in the range above;
• list of: beams, frequencies, bands and class of stations for satellites specified by the user;
• list of geostationary satellites by longitude and publication;
• list of Earth stations associated with a satellite beam.

Reference Information:
• reference tables: symbols and descriptions used by BR;
• database diagram and navigational paths in the database.

Results of the queries may be printed using the browser print function. Additionally, the user may download the results to their local PC for further processing using a utility Iw-Rocket developed at ITU. The utility allows the user to create local databases in Excel 5.0™, MS-Access 2.0™, dBase III™, dBase IV™ or Foxpro™. Other formats may be added as required. A free copy of this utility is accessible through the ITU-R Space Network Systems Online Service.

This product makes it possible to keep in touch with the fast-moving and complex world of telecommunication standards. The four, quarterly released DVDs are an essential reference for public and private telecommunication operating agencies, manufacturers, government agencies, scientific or industrial organizations, international organizations, consultants, technical colleges and universities, among others.
Each DVD contains the current set of ITU-T Recommendations in force in Adobe® PDF files and in Microsoft® Office Word format. Some Recommendations, not yet available in their final edited format, are included in their provisional, pre-published format. Associated software programs are in general on the DVD-ROM, unless their volume prevents it, in which case they can be bought separately. As of 1st January 2010 this product is available in English only.

The ITU-T Recommendations developed by the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector constitute the basis for international telecommunication standards. They are based on studies on technical, operating and tariff questions and serve to standardize telecommunications on a worldwide basis.
