Munsell Book of Color - Nearly Neutrals Edition - English ( Brasil - São Paulo - Ano 2011 )

Munsell Book of Color, Nearly Neutrals Edition is a plethora of pastels with nearly 1,200 permanently mounted matte Nearly Neutral Munsell color chips, including an entire page of nothing but near whites. We permanently mount the chips to keep them clean longer. Matte Nearly Neutral chips are more susceptible to dirt and oils from handling. But you can still obtain 8.5” x 11” sheets of any color from the nearly neutrals collection.

Design made easy…

It’s not always easy to visualize how your palette will look on the final product. Size, proportion and other variables affect the way your palette will look. Munsell can help with larger 8.5” x 11” color sheets. Any color chip from the books of color can be accurately reproduced in the larger format.

The sheets are perfect for simulating proportion. You can also cut them into individual samples for your suppliers.

Why is Munsell the system of choice by many designers?

Munsell a visually organized system. That means it’s designed for the way your eyes see color. Remember ROY G BIV… or the popular color wheel you learned about in design school? That’s the way the Munsell system is organized – the same way you see color.

The color development process is also based on the logic of the Munsell system… except it’s referred to as CIELab. That means it’s designed for the way color is manufactured in plastics, coatings or textiles. Plus, the accuracy and consistency of Munsell color chips make them ideal for specifying color throughout the supply chain.

· Nearly 1,200 permanently mounted color chips
· 20 constant hue charts
· Two (1) binder

Who is Albert H. Munsell anyway?

Glad you asked… Albert H. Munsell was and artist by trade. His turn-of-the-century research on color still influences the way color is interpreted today.

NCS 2011 ( Natural Color System / Scandinavian Colour Institute )

NCS Colour is at the forefront of colour research with a global base of clients, outlets and services for the modern colour user. Its solutions are based around the revolutionary language of colour, NCS - Natural Colour System®©, the simple and yet powerful colour system capable of giving an accurate notation to any of the 10 million colours we can perceive. Once used, NCS is the most efficient and accurate way to use colour and communicate colour requirements no matter what language you or your clients speak, which materials you use or which industry you operate in.

The Natural Color System consists of 1,750 colors catalogued by The Scandinavian Color Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. The NCS collection is used worldwide by professional color specifiers and is considered the purest and most sophisticated color tool available.

Uses

- Architecture
- Design
- Paints & Coatings
- Decorating or Painting
- Construction & Industry
- Corporate & Product Branding
- Teaching

Euro NCS index 1950 original

A compact overview of all 1950 NCS colours. The new NCS index contains the 200 new colours and has larger colour samples and a superior design.

The empty spaces were removed, and the colours were distributed more evenly and systematically over the pages. Because of a clearer visual subdivision into grey, yellow (colour tones G80Y-Y70R), red (Y80R-R70B), blue (R80B-B70G) and green (B80G-G70Y) and thanks to the new in between pages, finding ones way through the 1950 NCS colour samples has become much faster.

Markings on the colour wheel as well as colour triangles at the bottom of every index page show the positions of the colour tones in the NCS system. The NCS index takes up only very little space and can easily be taken along. It contains a description of the NCS system and examples of colour combinations that are possible in the NCS system.

New colour sample format: 20 x 50 mm / 26 x 50 mm

NCS pad 1950 original

The favourite NCS pad has also been redesigned; all 200 new NCS colours are now at their proper places. Every sample can be fanned out so that different colour combinations can be assessed. Since the entire colour sample can be put on the material to compare, the NCS pad is an excellent aid for stock-taking or identifying colours of diverse materials. The NCS pad comes in two types, one arranged by hue and the other arranged by nuances. Users working with patterns and contrasts often prefer the pad arranged by nuances. There are a total of 1,950 NCS colour samples contained in 9 pads.

Colour sample format: 35 x 104 mm  ( Hues , Nuances )

NCS atlas 1950 original

Recommended for colour selection, as a reference book in the studio, and for presentations to customers. The NCS atlas shows the colour wheel, 40 colour triangles, and a page with neutral and toned grey scales. The NCS atlas is the most comprehensive and clearest illustration of the NCS systems to date. The 200 new, bright NCS colour tones are prominently displayed as an enlarged section of the triangle in the top right area of the respective colour tone page. In order to facilitate the visual comparison, they are shown together with their "neighbouring colours" among the traditional 1,750 NCS colour tones. The NCS atlas with 1,950 NCS colours also shows the brightness and reflection numbers in every colour triangle.

Colour sample format: 15 x 15 mm

NCS pad 1950 original

The ideal colour library for studios that require larger samples for the colour assessment. The new NCS pad with 200 new NCS colour tones arranged in their proper places is characterized by a new cubistic design. The colour surfaces of the samples are now facing the user, and the samples have been put upright to allow the user a better overview. The samples of the NCS pad show the colours in a larger format and thus make it easier to assess them. Tabbed cards between the hues facilitate the handling. All 1,950 colour samples can be ordered separately.
Colour sample format: 105 x 148 mm (A6)
Weight: about 7,000 g

NCS album 1950 original - designed for professional colour studios

Every album page has pockets with three removable samples in A9 format. For quick colour comparisons, for the visualization of presentations, and to enclose in documents. The new, bright NCS colours are found at the top of the respective colour pages in the new NCS album. The new album is easier to handle as it now consists of two parts! The first folder contains the grey colours and the colour tones from Y to R90B, the second folder spans from G to G90Y. All 1,950 NCS colour samples can be reordered individually. Colour sample format: 52 x 37 mm (A9) with 3 specimens per colour tone.

NCS colour sample 1950 original

For presentations, specifications, identification, and general colour communications with suppliers and customers. The samples have the NCS designation on the back and are available in 3 sizes:

With a semi-matte surface in A4, A6 and A9 format, and in high gloss in A6 format.

T H Hill Standard DS-1 , Third Edition , 2004, 3 Volumes Set

sA lot has changed in our industry since we introduced the first edition of DS-1 in 1992. Drilling technology has advanced dramatically in fifteen years, and to keep pace with this change T H Hill has continually updated Standard DS-1. The initial one volume of the first edition has evolved into the three volumes of Third Edition, covering drill string manufacture, design and inspection. Additionally, DS-1 has achieved global acceptance, as evidenced by its use in more than 60 countries and the incredible growth of the sponsor group.

DS-1 Volume 1 – Drilling Tubular Product Specification

A totally new, easy to use manufacturing specification for drilling tubular products.
A global manufacturing standard must be comprehensive, technically sound and easy to use for both buyer and producer. In developing Volume 1 of DS-1® Third Edition, we have worked with the manufacturers, buyers, and users of drilling tubular products to create such a standard. The Drilling Tubular Product Specification is Volume 1 of DS-1 Third Edition, and offers a totally new approach to standardization of the manufacturing process.

Highlights of the New Manufacturing Standard:

- Establishes requirements for two service levels: Normal and Critical
- All manufacturing, dimensional and metallurgical requirements in tabular format
- Covers drill pipe, HWDP, subs, drill collars and pup joints
- Addresses the requirements for higher grade drill pipe (Z-140 and V-150)
- Introduces a special category for thick-wall drill pipe
- Includes procedures for non-destructive testing of components not addressed by API
- Entire volume structured for ease of use

DS-1 Volume 2 – Drill Stem Design & Operation

A revolutionary standard for drill string design and operation.
What if you could dramatically increase the fatigue life of your drill string merely by following structured design criteria? With the DS-1® Third Edition Design Volume, you can. Years of research have culminated in a ground-breaking approach to drill string design that maximizes fatigue mitigation while delivering an optimal overall design. This innovative technology can only be found in Standard DS-1 Drill Stem Design and Operation, Volume 2 of our Third Edition.

The New Standard in Design Includes:

- Innovative fatigue mitigation design methods (Curvature Index and Stability Index)
- Risk-based design groups for overload prevention
- Risk-based design groups for fatigue mitigation
- New drill pipe sizes and grades
- Slip-cut severity and the impact on fatigue
- New methods for corrosion monitoring
- Expanded coverage for slip crushing issues
- Considerations for reactive torque and casing wear
- Instructions for specifying an appropriate inspection

DS-1 Volume 3 – Drill Stem Inspection
A greatly expanded volume dedicated to inspection.
In the past decade, DS-1® has become the global standard for inspection by offering comprehensive procedural detail, an easy to use inspection specification system and timely technical updates. The Third Edition carries on this tradition and augments it by spotlighting inspection in a separate volume.

New Content Includes:

RAL PLASTICS – The RAL colour standard for plastics ( NEW PRODUCT )

RAL PLASTICS is a new colour standard especially for plastics, created in response to widespread demand from the plastics-processing industry.

To begin with, 100 colours from the RAL CLASSIC collection were translated into a dedicated RAL plastics standard using a sophisticated technical process – these being the 100 colours that people most often request.

Plastics processors will benefit from RAL PLASTICS because the new, binding plastics standard eliminates the need to reproduce RAL paint sample colours in plastic, formerly a time-consuming and expensive procedure.

The RAL PLASTICS colour samples are multifunctional and offer many benefits in practice. Three different surface textures and three different material thicknesses give users a realistic impression of how the colours will look when used with different material applications.

Polypropylene was intentionally chosen for RAL PLASTICS. It is a mass-produced plastic that is used in many finished products because of its balanced properties and excellent value for money. In addition to its technical characteristics, this plastic is easy to use for a wide variety of manufacturing procedures, and is also compatible with numerous dyes.

RAL PLASTICS – an overview:

- 100 colours
- Plastics colour sample format: 105 × 148 × 3 mm
- Material: polypropylene
- Three sample thicknesses show the colour fully opaque and in various opacity levels: 3 mm, 2 mm and 1 mm
- Three different surfaces allow you to interpret the colour in relation to roughness: high gloss polished,
VDI 24, VDI 42
- Includes reflectance curve, absolute values and the divergence from the RAL PLASTICS
original sample
- Protective sleeve for every plastics colour sample

This will therefore be of direct benefit for users who have more than one computer or need to access from other computers while travelling. In addition, the USB stick will continue to allow two fixed installs as is currently the case with the DVD-ROM.

Versions and Subscriptions

The Ph. Eur. is supplied in a variety of formats designed to be flexible to suit the needs of your organisation. It is available in 3 formats - print, online and USB stick.

Book Version: The subscription to the two initial volumes (Vol. 1 and 2) and two supplements (Supplement 7.1 and 7.2) is now available to order. Plus access to the archives is also possible.

Online Version: The online subscriptions provide access to all updates posted and to the archives starting from 1969 (1st Edition). Subscribers have access up to Supplement 7.2 from July 2010 until 31 December 2011.

NEW! USB Version: The new USB stick version makes it easy to access the Ph. Eur. while on the move or in environments where the use of the print or online versions would be inappropriate or impractical. It is also ideal for users who have more than one computer. Access to the archives is also possible.

NEW! Packages: Three different packages are now available if interested in having more than one version.

The Ph. Eur. is available in the English and French. Its translation into Spanish is underway and the texts are accessible on the online version as they become available.

Quality By Design Putting Theory Into Practice, [ Siegfried Schmitt ]; 2011, (ISBN:1933722487)

Author Name: Siegfried Schmitt
2011. Hardcover. 360 pages.
Date of Publication: February 2011
ISBN Number: 1933722487

This book is written with all stakeholders in mind; the regulatory agencies and the healthcare industry, including their suppliers. As the process of adoption, implementation and interpretation of Quality by Design is currently the key driver to help industry bring products to market faster and at the same time provide maximum assurance of product quality. Though pharmaceutical companies need to abide the law and therefore comply with the applicable laws, rules and regulations, their goal must be to be profitable. A business case must therefore not only outline how compliance can be achieved, maintained and improved, but also how this will result in a positive financial impact. Global subject matter experts offer invaluable information that will guide companies who wish to:

- Proactively address regulatory trends
- Reduce or eliminate the number of reworked batches
- Achieve better manufacturability and process robustness
- Drastically reduce recalls
- Achieve leadership in the industry
Cutting the cost of drug development is an overarching goal for the entire pharmaceutical industry. Any program that promises to make a significant contribution to it will certainly be welcome. Drug regulatory authorities almost anywhere base their decisions on three criteria: quality, efficacy and safety. They take no account of the actual or potential cost of the product to the company. Consequently, in addition for a need to be compliant with regulatory requirements there is an equal imperative for industry to examine the value for money they get from process development and acquisition of knowledge.
