BS PD 5500:2009+A3:2011 Specification for unfired fusion welded pressure vessels. Published : January 2009 (The specification can be used with equipment and systems designed or manufactured to BS 5500 or PD 5500) \ Normas \ Regulamentos \ Códigos \ Regras \ Standards \ Specifications \ Rules \ Codes

What is it?

PD 5500:2009 provides the latest specification for unfired fusion welded pressure vessels. It outlines requirements for design, manufacture, inspection, testing and compliance. PD 5500 is designed to be used with unfired fusion welded pressure vessels manufactured from iron based and austenitic alloy steels, aluminium, copper and nickel. The specification also applies to a wide range of energy and industry processes. PD 5500:2009 provides guidance towards achieving the BS EN 13445 European standard for unfired pressure vessels.

How does it work?

The PD 5500:2009 specification refers to pressure vessels connected to piping by bolts, screws or welding, as well as supports, brackets and other direct attachments. It applies to vessels that are subject to electrical heating or heated process streams, but not vessels exposed to direct heat or flame. The specification can be used with equipment and systems designed or manufactured to BS 5500 or PD 5500. And the 2009 specification is also relevant to pressure vessels in use outside of the EU as well as those designed and manufactured under the Pressure Equipment Directive.

What’s new?

PD 5500:2009 outlines the latest amendments to the specification up to and including those published in August 2009. It also includes details of enquiry cases and will be updated every three years. Your PD 5500 subscription includes free updates on further amendments.

ASM Handbook: Complete Set DVD - 25 Volumes, 2010 Edition *** ( Do not include Volumes 6A and 22B) *** (ISBN: 978-1-61503-043-9)

The ASM Handbook series provides comprehensive and practical information on the properties and performance of materials—with a particular emphasis on industrially important metals and alloys—and the processes used in the manufacture and fabrication of components. The current series includes volumes on properties and selection, phase diagrams, heat treating, surface engineering, welding, powder metallurgy, mechanical testing, metallography and microstructures, materials characterization, failure analysis, fractography, corrosion, forming and forging, casting, machining, nondestructive testing, tribology, fatigue, and modeling.

Now the current complete set – 25 volumes in all – is available on one disc! The Complete Set DVD includes every article, table, chart, and photograph in the current series. Search across the entire series or browse the table of contents for each volume. The content is presented in PDF format, with all of the standard Adobe Reader functions for navigation and finding content within articles.

The DVD can be used with any Windows Platform laptop or desktop computer with a DVD drive. Articles can be printed, and text, table, and images can be copied and pasted. Note: the files on the disc cannot be copied, so the DVD must be present in the local machine for the content to be accessed.
The handbook program is overseen by the ASM Handbook Committee, with a volunteer membership made up of metallurgy and materials professionals from industry, research, and academia. The content of the volumes is developed, written, and reviewed by subject-matter experts under the guidance of the Handbook Committee and with support from ASM’s professional editorial and production staff.

ASM Handbook content is available in print, DVD-ROM, and online subscription formats.

History

Handbooks published by ASM International have been key information resources for the materials engineering community ever since 1923, when the Handbook of the American Society for Steel Treating was published. (The ASST was the precursor to the American Society for Metals, now ASM International.) What started with a single loose-leaf volume in 1923 has grown to a current collection of more than 25 handbook volumes providing authoritative data and information on the properties, processing, and applications of metals and nonmetallic engineering materials.

From 1936 to 1990, the series was known as the Metals Handbook. In 1991, the name was changed from Metals Handbook to ASM Handbook to reflect the increasing coverage of polymers, ceramics, and composite materials in the series.

Heating and Ventilating Contractors’ Association \ HVCA DW/143 (Revised) 2000 . Ductwork Leakage Testing A practical guide to Ductwork Leakage Testing. ISBN: 0-903783-30-4 - Based on the requirements of DW/144 specification for sheet metal ductwork.

Ductwork Specification DW/142, published by the HVCA in 1982, provided for the first time in a long series of such publications for leakage limits over the whole range of air pressures covered by the specification and (where required) a test procedure to establish conformity.
Although leakage testing of high-pressure ductwork is still mandatory in DW/144 (as was the case in previous ductwork specifications issued by HVCA) the leakage testing of ductwork designed to operate at low and medium pressures is required only where so specified in individual job specifications.

With the retention of three pressure classifications in DW/144 it is hoped that the designer, having control over performance standards, will find leakage testing an unnecessary contract expense with regard to low and medium pressure ductwork see note Financial Caution.

Ductwork contractors faced with a job calling for leakage testing should take this requirement very seriously and satisfy themselves as the job progresses that the required leakage rate or rates are within the limits set by the designer or the client. The cost of making good an installation that has been found on completion to have failed in this respect can be very expensive.

DW/144 specifies leakage limits for the ductwork alone, because the ductwork contractor has no control over the leakage characteristics of the various components which go to make up the whole of the air distribution system. Where a job specification calls for a leakage limit for the whole system, it will be for the designer or client to ensure that the leakage rates of the components are also within the required limits.

Farmacopéia Brasileira 5ª Edição.2010. constituída de Volume 1 - Métodos Gerais e textos e Volume 2 - Monografias. Brazilian Pharmacopoeia . ANVISA Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária [National Health Surveillance Agency]

A Farmacopéia Brasileira 5ª Edição foi aprovada através da RDC 49/2010, que revogou todas as edições anteriores.

The Brazilian Pharmacopoeia is the country´s official pharmaceutical code, and is responsible for establishing the quality requisites for medicaments. Until the beginning of the 20th century, the Portuguese Pharmacopoeia was adopted in Brazil as the official code of medicaments. Considering the large number of products from the native Brazilian flora not listed in that Pharmacopoeia and which were used in the official medicine at that time, such publication was not appropriated for the country´s needs.

The Brazilian pharmacopoeia represents the official pharmaceutical code of the country setting forth quality requirements for pharmaceuticals, herbal medicinal products, medicines, pharmaceutical supplies and health products. This compendium covers 592 monographs of which 367 are included in the Brazilian essential medicinal products list (Relação Nacional de Medicamentos essenciais, Rename). For the first time, this pharmacopoeia will be available in both hard and soft formats.

The International Pharmacopoeia Fourth Edition (4th Ed.) . 2 Volumes / 1499 pages. Hardback. 28 Feb 2007 . ISBN 9789241563017 . Farmacopéia Internacional WHO . OMS

The International Pharmacopoeia is an essential point of reference for anyone involved in the research, development or manufacture of medicines. The contents shall have legal status, whenever a national or regional authority expressly introduces it into appropriate legislation.

The pharmacopoeia consists of quality specifications for pharmaceutical substances and dosage forms together with supporting general methods of analysis. These features are intended to serve as source material for reference or adaptation by any World Health Organization (WHO) Member State wishing to establish pharmaceutical requirements.

'The International Pharmacopoeia – Fourth Edition' consolidates the texts of the five separate volumes of the third edition. Certain additions and amendments have been made to the notices in order to clarify the interpretation of the Pharmacopoeia and to facilitate application of the requirements by the user.

This fourth edition will include all the monographs in the third edition together with new monographs for didanosine, indinavir sulfate, nelfinavir mesilate, nevirapine, ritonavir, saquinovir, saquinovir mesilate. All the monograph texts are brought together in one section and the method texts in another. Each of these major sections are divided into appropriate sub-sections and the method texts are numbered for ease of cross-reference.

Method texts that have been updated include, for example, the text on high performance liquid chromatography [HPLC]. This has been revised to clarify certain technical terms and to add advice on adjustment of chromatographic conditions, as recommended by the WHO Expert Committee on Specifications for Pharmaceutical Preparations in October 2004.

Deutsches Arzneibuch 2011 (DAB 2011). Europäisches Arzneibuch, 6. Ausgabe Grundwerk 2008 inkl. Nachträge 6.1. - 6.8, Amtliche deutsche Ausgabe. 2011. ISBN 978-3-7692-5737-3 - German Pharmacopoeia - Farmacopéia Alemã

Kurztext
