The SAE Aerospace Material Specifications on DVD provides convenient, portable access to more than 3,200 industry-leading specifications recognized throughout the aerospace community. This annual subscription product is updated quarterly to capture any new, revised, or cancelled standards.

Also included is a common index of all documents contained in our three DVD products—Aerospace Material Specifications, Aerospace Standards, and Ground Vehicle Standards—allowing users to quickly search across industries. All documents on the DVD are presented in PDF format.

1. What happened to the SAE Standards on CD-ROM products?
As of January 2012, the CDs have been replaced by the DVDs.

2. How do the DVDs differ from the CDs?
The content on the two products is essentially the same: they both contain the latest SAE standards and a searchable index. However, the DVDs have been upgraded to include the latest version of the powerful Folio Views search engine, which is compatible with Windows 7 and 64-bit systems.

3. Why did SAE switch from CD to DVD for this product?
Primarily because the DVD format allows storage of considerably more content, so we were able to reduce the number of disks needed for each of these products to just one. (For reference, the AS CD had grown to include 8 separate disks).

4. What’s included on the DVDs?
Each DVD contains the following:

- Full-text PDFs of all current, industry-specific standards. As of December 2011, the number of standards on each DVD is as follows:
   * Aerospace Materials Specifications: 3,210
   * Ground Vehicle Standards: 2,492
   * Aerospace Standards: 5,010
- Full-text PDFs of any standards cancelled after January 1, 2002.
- A common index of all documents contained in the three standards DVDs. The index is fully searchable and displays summary information for each document (e.g., title, document number, scope).

5. How often are SAE Standards on DVD updated?
The DVDs are annual subscription products that are updated each quarter. Customers will receive update disks in January, April, July, and October.

6. How long does a subscription last?
Subscriptions are on an annual basis, so customers will receive a total of four shipments from SAE each year (i.e., initial set of complete standards plus three quarterly updates).

7. Are there any usage restrictions for DVD customers?
Yes. All DVD customers must accept the terms of our license agreement, which restricts usage of the DVD product to a single workstation. (Network customers will be able to access the content that is loaded onto a single server.)

It is important to note that all content on the DVDs is copyrighted by SAE International, so users may not reproduce or distribute any standards documents without written permission.

Saúde e Sociedade destina-se a publicação de trabalhos científicos originais nas diferentes áreas do saber, sobre práticas de saúde, visando ao desenvolvimento interdisciplinar do campo da saúde pública.

Destina-se à comunidade de profissionais do campo da saúde, docentes, pesquisadores, especialistas da área de Saúde Pública/Coletiva e de áreas afins. Desde sua criação, tem publicado trabalhos de diferentes áreas do saber que se relacionam ou tenham como objeto de preocupação a saúde pública/coletiva. Nesse sentido, abarca a produção de diferentes ramos das ciências humanas e sociais e da emergente ciência ambiental, incorporando a produção científica, teórica e aquela mais especificamente relacionada às propostas de intervenção e prática institucional.

Dada a natureza de seu objeto, a Saúde Pública se caracteriza como um campo privilegiado de conhecimento e de prática aberto à contribuição de diferentes áreas. A produção científica nela gerada reflete essa possibilidade quando contempla as distintas dimensões de seu objeto e também sua complexa amplitude, abarcando desde o conhecimento do processo saúde doença às intervenções sobre esse processo, mediante ações, programas, sistemas e políticas de saúde. Considerados esses aspectos e verificadas as semelhanças de proposição e de estratégias de interação editorial, há 16 anos, a direção da Faculdade de Saúde Pública da USP (FSP) e da Associação Paulista de Saúde Pública (APSP) decidiram estabelecer parceria para a consecução de um projeto editorial. Foi nesse contexto que se formulou o projeto editorial da Saúde e Sociedade, hoje uma revista consolidada nas áreas de Saúde Pública/ Coletiva e de Ciências Humanas.

A edição conjunta de uma publicação (FSP-APSP) constituiu-se e se mantém como uma ação inovadora no campo editorial da área de saúde. A articulação entre essas duas instituições representou uma nova estratégia na busca de incrementos para divulgação da produção técnico-científica da área, bem como proporcionou condições para aumento do intercâmbio de conhecimentos entre as instituições de ensino, de pesquisa e de prestação de serviços de saúde.

Não se tratou, assim, de atender à demanda somente do campo científico das diversas instituições de ensino e pesquisa de São Paulo, mas de, igualmente, abrir-se a uma tendência no interior da sociedade brasileira e latino-americana de busca de novos caminhos, novas reflexões, novas abordagens no tratamento de novos e velhos problemas.

Saúde e Sociedade to publish original contributions of different knowledge areas regarding health practices, aiming at the interdisciplinary development of the public health field.

It is targeted at the community of health professionals, professors, researchers, Public/Collective Health specialists and connected areas. Since its creation, the journal has published works from different knowledge areas that are interrelated or that are concerned about public/collective health. In this sense, it encompasses the production of different branches of the human and social sciences and of the emerging environmental science, incorporating scientific and theoretical production and also the one that is specifically related to proposals for intervention and institutional practice.

Given the nature of its object, Public Health is characterized as a privileged field of knowledge and practice that is open to contribution from different areas. The scientific production generated within it reflects this possibility when it takes into account the distinct dimensions of its object and also its complex amplitude, approaching themes that range from knowledge of the health-illness process to interventions on this process by means of health actions, programs, systems and policies. Considering these aspects and taking into account the similarities regarding proposition and editorial interaction strategies, 16 years ago, the direction of the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo (FSP - USP) and of São Paulo´s Public Health Association (APSP) decided to establish a partnership to carry out an editorial project. It was in this context that the editorial project of the journal Saúde e Sociedade was formulated. Today, it is a consolidated journal in the areas of Public/Collective Health and Human Sciences.

The joint publication of a journal (FSP-APSP) has been an innovative action in the publishing field of the health area. The articulation between these two institutions represented a new strategy in the search for increments to disseminate the technical and scientific production of the area. In addition, it enhanced the knowledge exchange between institutions related to teaching, research and health services provision.

Thus, the focus was not only the need to meet the demand of the scientific field of the several teaching and research institutions of São Paulo, but also, the need to welcome a tendency that has emerged inside the Brazilian and Latin American society and that concerns the search for new ways, new reflections, new approaches to dealing with new and old problems.

ITU Space Network Systems Online Annual Subscription 2012 - Sistema de Redes Espaciais (SNS) - International Telecommunication Union

Free of charge to TIES Users as from 1st May 2000. In addition to a brief overview of the Radio Regulations referring to space services and general information containing statistics, a database diagram, tables and the AP4 notice forms, the Space Network Systems Online Service allows the user to navigate freely through the database, making predefined special queries to retrieve data based on specified input parameters and to access reference tables and descriptions of the data used in the system, which is updated bi-weekly. This service is an essential reference tool for government agencies, public and private telecommunication operating agencies, manufacturers, scientific/industrial entities, international organizations, consultants, technical colleges, universities, etc.

Space Network Systems Online Service is an annual subscription service that provides online access to the Space Network System database of the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau. This database contains notices concerning space radiocommunication services submitted to the Bureau for:

Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) - Print edition - four printed volumes (Published in mid-2011) - WebDewey 2.0 (The easiest way to use DDC)

The Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system was conceived to accommodate the expansion and evolution of the body of human knowledge. That's why 23 unabridged print editions and 14 abridged editions over nearly 139 years, as well as multiple Web editions since 2000 have been published—to ensure that you have current tools to manage contemporary knowledge organization projects.

The four-volume unabridged edition is published approximately every seven years, reflecting the time the Dewey editorial team needs to implement changes across the entire classification. The 23rd print edition, published in mid-2011, includes many new features that make the classification easier to use. The abridged edition, Abridged Edition 14, was published in February 2004, and is well-suited for the classification needs of libraries with up to 20,000 titles in their collections.

This practice provides a controlled corrosive environment which has been utilized to produce relative corrosion resistance information for specimens of metals and coated metals exposed in a given test chamber.

Prediction of performance in natural environments has seldom been correlated with salt spray results when used as stand alone data.

Correlation and extrapolation of corrosion performance based on exposure to the test environment provided by this practice are not always predictable.

Correlation and extrapolation should be considered only in cases where appropriate corroborating long-term atmospheric exposures have been conducted.

The reproducibility of results in the salt spray exposure is highly dependent on the type of specimens tested and the evaluation criteria selected, as well as the control of the operating variables. In any testing program, sufficient replicates should be included to establish the variability of the results. Variability has been observed when similar specimens are tested in different fog chambers even though the testing conditions are nominally similar and within the ranges specified in this practice.

1. Scope

1.1 This practice covers the apparatus, procedure, and conditions required to create and maintain the salt spray (fog) test environment. Suitable apparatus which may be used is described in Appendix X1.

1.2 This practice does not prescribe the type of test specimen or exposure periods to be used for a specific product, nor the interpretation to be given to the results.

1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
