Sinopse
This book is the result of ten years of studies, research, and of work with seed harvesting and preparation, seedling production and reforestation with native forest species. Its purpose is to popularize the knowledge on our tree species and provide guidance concerning their cultivation.
The present work also intends to provide subsidies to the easy identification of plants by means of the use of photographs of their main identifying components, regardless of the need to refer to a descriptive text reading. Only information which could not be presented in photographs was described, such as plant height, trunk diameter, leaf texture, etc.
Each species, totalizing 352, is presented in a sole page, 6 photographs and written information are included.

Sinopse
This book is the result of more than 15 years of studies, research and work with native trees. It is a sequence to the book Brazilian Trees, first published in 1992 and now being published in an updated edition, which will be called “Volume 1”. It contains the same number of species as the former, however including mainly rare species threatened with extinction, besides showing the same graphic design and composition, as well as presenting the same alphabetical order per family, genus and species.
Each species, totalizing 352, is presented in a sole page, 6 photographs and written information are included. The photographs are presented in the following order: left upper side – adult plant; right upper side – detail of leaf or inflorescence; lower part of left side, to right side – fruit, seeds, trunk and wood.

This book is a continuation of the series Brazilian Trees, volumes 1 and 2; the first was published in 1992, the second in 1998; both were brought up to date in later printings. Volume 3 contains the same number of species descriptions as in each of the first two volumes (352) and follows the same format. Nevertheless, the present volume deals almost exclusively with rare and little-known trees, in as much as the more common or more easily found trees comprise the first two volumes. The three volumes together provide descriptions of 1,056 native Brazilian trees.
This is a luxurious book on Brazilian trees in the 21 x 31 cm format, with 384 pages, having full color images of habit, flowering branch closeup, fruits, seeds, bark and wood, of 352 Brazilian native species. Also contains written information of the morphological characteristics of each plant, its phenology, natural occurrence, seed gathering and preparation procedures, and seedling production.
